Jason Kenny won a silver medal in the men’s sprint at the World Track Cycling Championships in Holland on Friday night.
The Farnworth star beat British Olympic legend Sir Chris Hoy in the semi-final before losing to Frenchman Gregory Bauge in the final.
Kenny has now beaten Hoy three times in six months, winning six successive races.
And he has a chance to go one better when he goes for gold in the keirin on Saturday night.
Hoy beat Frenchman Mickael Bourgain to take bronze in the sprint.
