BOLTON Harrier Sian Pledger will represent Manchester in the McCain City Challenge on Sunday.
The 20-year-old earned her place when she won the 200m at the North of England Indoor Championships.
The victory was a flying start to her first season as a senior.
She also came third in the 60m at the North of England, and is now preparing for the City Challenge which sees eight cities compete against each other.
Pledger, who is spending the winter training in Malta, will run for Manchester against Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff, London North and London South. As well as the 60m she may also take part in the relay.
The event takes place in Sheffield, and is the first of two City Challenges, the second of which takes place on February 26 in Cardiff.
