TOP team in the Premier Division Ramsbottom A maintained their unbeaten record with a 9-0 win at Heaton A, their three players Mick Moir, Mark Ramsbottom and Andy Jackson all trebling.
Flixton CC in second spot won 7-2 at Ramsbottom C with three wins from John Hilton and two each from Jeff Craighill and Phil Bowen. Graham Young and Graham Hoy won one each for the losers.
Hilton A won 6-3 at Little Lever A with two wins from their three players Dave Pickard, Andy Michnowice and Ron Pennington. Little Lever’s Ron Durose won two and Graham Jeffries one.
Nigel Hallows scored three wins for Radcliffe CC who were beaten 5-4 by visiting St Catherine’s A. Wayne Renton added one for the home team. Pavel Orzechowski and Charles Musa won two and Bill Russell one for the visitors.
Three wins from Brain Clements and two from Khamal Hussain gave Ramsbottom B their 5-4 win at Wharton for whom Barry Elliott won two, and Glen Payne and Bob Jackson claimed one each.
St Catherine’s B won 5-4 at Burning Desire with doubles from Kristof Pinter and Callum Tollady and a single from Dave Hamilton. Lindsey Reynolds scored two wins and Ben Armstrong and Kevin Chapman one each for the losers.
It’s tight at the top of Division One with five points separating the three top teams.
Ramsbottom D retain top spot on the strength of their 8-1 victory over Nomads B, Martin Holt and Neil Booth were both unbeaten and Tom Ryan added two. Dave Holden won the consolation set.
Ladybridge A moved up to second place after their maximum points wins at Coburg, with Dave Bolton, Dave Scowcroft and Craig Bradbury all unbeaten.
Only six points separate six teams at the top of Division Four, and the current joint-leaders Ladybridge C and Heaton F both recorded 9-0 wins.
Ladybridge’s Andy Scully, Colin Gregory and Robin Llewellyn were unbeaten aganst Lads & Girls Club B, as were Heaton’s Colin Roberts, Dave Jones and Geoff Harris at St Catherine’s D.
Brass in third spot, three points behind the two top teams, were beaten 6-3 by visitors Lads & Girls Club A. Ray Isherwood and Rajan Patel both trebled for the Lads Club and all three Brass players recorded one win.
Harper Green ran out 5-4 winners at Boyzone with three wins from James Storey and two by Peter McMinn. Jez Grimwood won two, and Ian Coupe and Mick Barnes one each for Boyzone.
Hit & Hope won 6-3 at Farnworth TTC C with Tim Fields and Dave Brookes both unbeaten, the three Farnworth players Ted Harris, Katherine Oldfield and John Hilton recorded one win each.
In Division Three Farnworth TTC B remain two points clear of Hilton G at the top after both teams recorded 7-2 wins.
Farnworth won at BEN A, with three wins by Nathan Patel and two apiece by Sam Evans and Daniel Harris. James Bollard won two for BEN.
