Marion Wright who lives near Spalding in Lincolnshire is looking for anyone who might have known John (Jack) Marsden.
Jack was born about 1919 in the Bolton area, and his parents lived in The Crescent, Westhoughton at one time.
He married a lady named Joan in Barrow-in-Furness in 1942, and their first child Peter was born in 1943, followed by daughter Anne in 1950.
Jack was in the Navy at the start of the Second World War, then transferred to the Army based at Wellington Barracks in Bury, then Saigton in Chester.
Soon after his daughter was born Jack was posted to Italy. Unfortunately the marriage broke down and they separated.
Jack married again and had at least two sons, possibly named Jimmy and Terry in the late 1960s early 70s.
The family were living in the Daisy Hill area of Westhoughton, and his wife may have had sight problems in later life.
Other possible relevant places are Swinton and Walkden.
Any help or information would be very much appreciated.
