Andrew Leatham of Belmont writes: I am trying to trace an old school mate Bill Bibby.
Bill was a pupil at St James's C of E secondary school in Farnworth, and like me, he was one of the school's first intake in 1960.
Bill lived in Greenfold Avenue, New Bury, and had a younger brother Amos and an older sister Rose.
He left St James's in 1964 and I think joined the National Coal Board (NCB) as an apprentice mining electrician.
I also think he married a girl whose parents lived in Plodder Lane, Farnworth, next door to the sub-Post Office, opposite St George's Church and they lived in the Ringley/Stoneclough area for a while.
As this is the 50th anniversary, a reunion has been planned for Saturday, November 20, in the Masonic Hall, Francis Street, Farnworth, starting at 7.30pm.
It would be great to see him there and catch up.
