WANDERERS have this morning turned down a bid from Premier League rivals Blackpool for young defender Chris Basham.
The Bolton News understands that the newly promoted club have targeted the versatile youngster, who has made 20 appearances in the Whites first team over the last two campaigns.
But Owen Coyle is keen to keep hold of the 22-year-old, who has also spent loan spells away from the Reebok at Stafford Rangers and Rochdale.
A Wanderers spokesman has now confirmed that a bid from Blackpool has been turned down, but no details have yet been disclosed about the size of the offer.
