YOUNGSTERS are jumping for joy after having their hard work rewarded and recognised at an end of year presentation evening.
Clevelands Preparatory School in Heaton handed out trophies for children who had achieved in the classroom and the sports field as well as for a positive attitude towards their studies.
Headteacher Lesley Parlane said: “It is essential to recognise children’s achievements in this way. One girl said that if prizes were not awarded there would be nothing to try for. It gives young people something to aim for and those awarded trophies were deserving of them.
“Prizes were awarded for diligence to academic and sporting achievements.”
