FIREFIGHTERS are continuing to tackle a massive blaze on moorland above Bolton.
The fire broke out at 4.55pm today on White Coppice Moor, near Brinscall.
Crews from fire stations across Lancashire are fighting the blaze using specialist equipment.
Smoke from the fire can be seen across Bolton.
Terry Maddock, of Old Kiln Lane, Heaton, said: "I can usually see right across the moors, but everything has gone black.
"The air is filled with smoke and I have had to close all the windows to keep it out."
