GENEROUS businessmen and women dug deep at the awards and helped to raise £2,556.46, which will go towards the Marie Curie Nurses Appeal.
And the coffers of the cancer charity will be further boosted by £80 raised from the sale of two VIP tickets to the Pink concert held on Saturday at the Reebok Stadium.
A staff member at Bury-based Pennine Telecom, which won the Innovation, Design and Technology award, won the tickets at the awards dinner.
The company’s marketing manager, Belinda McGee, won the tickets in the raffle but unfortunately she was unable to go to the concert.
So she sent an email around the office asking people to bid for the tickets and Kirsty Cookson, who works on the service desk, made the winning bid of £80.
