Paddy McGuinness will release his first book later this year.
The Bolton comedian has penned “Paddy McGuinness’ Guide to the North (and Other Less Interesting Places, i.e. The South),” which will hit the shelves in September.
“It’s mainly taking the mickey out of London, very much a tongue-in-cheek book in the style of Viz Letterbox,” the Phoenix Nights star said on a recent visit to the Reebok Stadium. “It’s a very visual book because, as you might have guessed, I’m not a big reader.
“I was writing it in the middle of last year up to Christmas and finished it just as we were filming Take Me Out.”
McGuinness will start filming a new series of the Saturday night primetime show Take Me Out later this year before concentrating on material for a new tour next year.
He also hinted that another collaboration with Peter Kay could be on the horizon.
“We’ve never said ‘no’ to doing something, and it will definitely happen,” he said. “It’s just a matter of getting the timing right now.”
