YOUNG musicians at Walmsley CE School in Egerton are proudly displaying new banners thanks to the generosity of parents and friends.
The members of the school orchestra can now show off the specially commissioned embroidered concert banners at all musical events.
The cash for 12 new banners was raised at three concerts over Easter. Money through collections plus sponsorship from families and friends of pupils.
The banners will be used for the first time on stage at the Victoria Hall next Thursday at the School's Music Festival, then at Walmsley's Summer Serenade Concert on July 12. The concert is a chance for all 110 junior instrumentalists, aged between seven and 11, to show off their musical talents.
