THE White Horse £1,000 Open Pairs Bowling Competition takes place at the Edgworth Village Institute BC, is being held on Saturday and Sunday, June 10/11, and 17/18.

All matches start at 3pm, drawn by the players on the day. Final eight Saturday, June 24 at 3pm.

For 64 pairs entry fee £12 per pair, games 21 up off scratch, 16 pairs down to two qualifiers each session.

Winners £300, runners up £200, semi finalists £100 and quarter finalists £75 (subject to full entries).

THWAITES £1,700 Singles Memorial Bowling Competition (in memory of Gordon Lindsay, Stuart Holt and Jimmy Crooks) to be held at the Huntley Unionist Club, "The Duck Club", Coppice Street, Bury, on Saturday and Sunday, July 1/2, 8/9, 15/16, and 22/23.

All matches to start at 5.30pm. Two qualifiers each night for final night, to be played on Sunday, July 30, starting 4pm.

Entry fee £10 first prize £600, runner up £300, two at £100, four at £70 and eight at £30.

TOTTINGTON Conservative £1,340 Bowling Competition, sponsored by Tommy Braddock is being held on Saturday and Sunday, August 12/13 and 19/20, with the Final being held on Sunday, August 27.

There will be 64 entries at £10, and prize money is first £500, runner up £250, semi finalists £95, last eight £60, last 16 £20 with two games to qualify. All games 21 up.
