THERE is an element of the bizarre about the Bolton town centre parking row.
Drivers of cars which were clamped off Churchgate insisted that they had permits on display, and the incident resulted in the clamper's own car being barricaded into the car-park.
On the face of it, the clamping firm does seem guilty of high-handed behaviour and it will be interesting to see how this story ends.
Parking is a controversial subject here, but commonsense should always rule the day.
