PARK Wanderers booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Sam Ashworth Trophy after a dramatic 4-3 win over Dobbies B.
Terry Coxen scored the winner and Tony Ashby missed a late penalty after both teams were reduced to 10 men early on.
They now play Division One leaders Turton early in February.
Joining them in the quarter-finals are the Plough, who beat the Bay Mare Strollers 3-2 with two goals for Rourke, but the Bay Mare were made to pay for two blunders at the back and some dreadful finishing, but the Plough survived a late onslaught and now meet The Sportsman in the next round.
Walkden Wrecks beat the Fir Tree 2-1 in a tight game and meet the Cross Keys in the quarter-finals.
The Cross Keys moved into second spot in Division One after thrashing Belle Vue 6-1, but it could have been so different as two bad injuries left the Belle Vue with just 10 men just after half time, with the game still at 1-1.
Steve Brown, with four goals, and Chris Shaw with two, took full advantage and the Cross Keys are now just two points behind leaders Turton.
Elton Vale are in fourth after edging a tight game 2-0 against De La Salle with goals from Morris Johnson and Paul Rigby.
The game should have been a lot closer, but John Norris was guilty of missing a sitter to get De La Salle back into the match and the result is a real blow to their title hopes.
Dobbies A closed the gap at the top with a resounding 7-0 thrashing of bottom team Eaton Athletic with Gary Burns scoring two and half the team getting on the score sheet as well.
Dobbies are closing in on De la Salle in fifth place, but a top-three spot is the best that they can aim for at the moment.
Garswood United earned three valuable points after beating Dobbies C 1-0 to move away from the relegation zone, but things look bleak for Dobbies C and Eaton.
In Division Two, The Newmarket took over at the top after edging a tight game 2-1 against Ainsworth A with Dave Rathbone climbing out of his wheelchair to score the winner that moved the Newmarket a point clear of bitter rivals Daten.
