IN the Excelsior Press Bolton Sunday League Premier Division, Market Street Tavern stay top after beating Farnworth Canary 3-1, Ralph starring with two goals.
Both Horwich Vic and Hulton Lane kept the pressure on the Tavern. The Vic beat Three Crowns 5-0 with Gary Cunliffe getting a hat-trick.
Stumble Inn won again, beating Deane 3-1, with the Berry boys, Mike and Adam, getting one each, along with Ryan Porter.
Beaumont beat Sams Bar thanks to a 30-yard Jason Fielding free kick.
In Division One, with leaders Brit Farnworth having no game, Clifton Rangers drew level on points at the top.
But the Brit have two games in hand and a far better goal difference.
In a thrilling end to the game at Queens Park between Astley Bridge and Fox and Stork, 1-1 was a fair result.
Bridge led at half time thanks to a well taken goal by John Girling who beat the offside trap. But a well taken penalty by Ashley Irlam gave both sides a share of the points.
Black Horse beat the Royal 6-1, Wingates went down 4-1 at home to Prince Rupert with goals from Greer (2), Farnworth and Gregory, while Sands scored for Wingates. Hulton Lane B came from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw with Darcy Lever. Liam Stewart got a brace for Lever, while Moorcroft and Stubbs scored for the Lane.
Smithills beat AFC Heaton 5-1, Deane (2), Smith (2) and Spackman got Smithills goals and Chris Darcy replied.
Ground fees must be paid at the meeting on Thursday, January 26.
