TEENAGER Hannah Groom just cannot get enough of The Twits.

So much so that the 14-year-old Withins School pupil has seen the production based on Roald Dahl's children's story six times.

She was there when the curtain came down on The Octagon's last performance of their Christmas pantomime on Saturday.

And she was invited backstage to bid a special farewell to the cast.

GCSE drama student, Hannah first became captivated by the performance when she went with her school just before Christmas to see it for the first time.

Since then she has been to see it five times and met the cast twice.

The Twits opened on November 25, and tickets were in such demand that The Octogan extended the run by an extra week.

"It is the best-selling production The Octagon has ever had in its 39-year history,"said a spokeswoman for the theatre.

Hannah, who lives in Harwood, said: "It is a really good production which interacts with the audience on a higher level than other pantomimes and relates to all ages."

She added: "I love the theatre and would love to work in it."

"After the school trip to the theatre, a friend of mine wanted to go and see it. So that was an excuse for seeing it for the second time.

"I have seen other productions but not six times,"said Hannah, who has incorporated the play into her drama coursework.

The theatre buff has spent £50 of her own money to see to the show.

"It was worth it I never got bored, every performance is slightly different in some way."Following the show, Hannah wrote to the cast telling them how much she enjoyed it.

"I was invited to meet them backstage,"said Hannah. "It was really cool."

She was also invited backstage following the final performance to meet the cast again.

Withins School drama co-ordinator, Beverley Hill accompanied Hannah to the final performance.

She said: "Hannah was pointing out things during the show. She has an analytical mind and watched the show with a critical eye."
