SIX people were injured when a car was involved in a crash with an ambulance.
The accident happened in the early hours of this morning in Higher Bridge Street, Bolton.
The ambulance crashed into railings after it was in a collision with a Toyota Avensis car.
There were no patients in the ambulance at the time.
Two ambulance staff and four men from the car were taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from minor and neck injuries.
Firefighters assisted in helping the injured from the wreckage of the car. All six were later discharged from hospital.
A section of Higher Bridge Street was closed by police for an hour while officers dealt with the incident.
