I am writing after reading the article on credit card fraud (Bolton Evening News, February 10).
It reminded me of something shocking that I noticed on my receipt after making a purchase at the BWFC shop at Reebok during December.
As I looked at my receipt I saw printed at the bottom the whole of my credit card number. I felt that this was worrying because had I misplaced my receipt and it had been found, that person would be able to make purchases, possibly online or by phone, using my number.
Most receipts contain only part of your number and not the whole thing, as on the receipt from the BWFC shop. We always shred our receipts containing card numbers.
I urge your readers to be equally vigilant and also check their receipts.
