ON Tuesday, February 24, I attended an appointment in Dr Beck's clinic in the dermatology department at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
I explained to the receptionist that I had to get to college and asked if I could be seen as near to my appointment time as possible (9.15am). I was only in the waiting area a couple of minutes when the nurse called me through.
I would like to thank the staff in the department for their prompt attention and kindness.
However, when I went back to the reception to arrange my next appointment, the receptionist told me that a gentleman behind me in the queue had overheard and as his appointment was earlier than mine, he said I could take his appointment and he would wait.
I can't believe that someone would be so kind as to do this, especially as you can sometimes be waiting a couple of hours in Out-patient departments.
I don't know the man''s name, but I would like to say a huge thank you, and say I'm so glad there are such decent, kind people around. I do hope he reads this letter or someone who knows him will pass on my thanks to him.
