A BEREAVED daughter is running the London Marathon to help raise money for charity in memory of her father.
Lyndsey Jones, of Farnworth, was left grief stricken when her father Geoff Cousin died after a stroke last May.
She now wants to raise money for the Stroke Society charity which helped her through the ordeal.
Lyndsey, aged 28, said: "This is a charity that is close to my heart .
"The charity is really helping me through this terrible time and by raising money, I can give something back to a worthy cause.
"I am looking to raise about £2,000 which will help with research and support other families who have been touched by the devastating effects of a stroke."
North Manchester HGV, based in Bolton, has donated £200 to the appeal.
The 26-mile Flora London Marathon is on April 23.
