A HI-TECH speed camera was unveiled on Tuesday at the spot where a 15-year-old girl was killed by a speeding motorist.
Natalie Pickwick-Jones, a student at Radcliffe High School, was knocked down in Bolton Road, Radcliffe, in February, 2004.
Parents David and Elaine Jones, of Olsberg Close, Radcliffe, have campaigned tirelessly for road improvements, including a speed camera, to be added to the busy stretch.
The new camera is to be installed in Bolton Road, close to the Canute Street junction.
Mr and Mrs Jones were supported by Bury Council who applied formally to Drivesafe, the Greater Manchester Casualty Reduction Partnership, after conducting a traffic investigation at the site.
The couple celebrated the birth of a baby girl named Tia Danielle in December.
The birth came weeks after they won a civil claim against the driver who hit their daughter.
He was cleared of causing death by dangerous driving after a trial at Bolton Crown Court.
