CURZON ASHTON 3, ATHERTON COLLS 2: A depleted Colls side produced an excellent display against title-chasing Curzon, only to be robbed once again in the final moments of the game.
Anthony Pilkington opened the scoring with a superb chip over the keeper, but despite good possession, Colls could not add to their lead before the break.
Michael Norton equalised from the spot on 55 minutes and then put Curzon ahead eight minutes later with the Colls defence appealing for offside.
The plucky Atherton outfit pulled themselves back into it with a close range effort from Rob Jackson, but Colls' joy lasted only 90 seconds when the dangerous Norton completed his hat-trick.
To complete their misery, Colls' Alex Lord was them sent off for dangerous play in the final stages.
