TO try to reduce the spread of MRSA, why can't all visitors to our hospitals be made to walk over disinfectant mats at all entrances to kill germs on their shoes?
We are treading all kinds of filthy substances in on our shoes and wheels of pushchair - spit, chewing gum, dog dirt, that has all been discarded on our pavements.
Also, could the nurses be issued with soft shoes to change into and out of when going home?
The disinfectant entrances worked for our farming land and cattle not too long ago, why not for humans?
Just a thought, it could work.
