AFTER taking my son and his friend to the ice rink at Blackburn recently I was amazed at how popular this attraction was for both young and old alike.
They had a great time and are already looking forward to their next visit.
This brought back fond memories of the Navada where, as a teenager, I used to visit almost every night.
Our town is sadly lacking in a facility of this type and wouldn't the old B&Q on Crompton Way be the ideal venue for an indoor skating rink.
The premises are plenty big enough and there would be ample car parking space. What a great way to keep our children exercised and entertained and, at the same time, be a distraction away from their hugely popular computers and video games.
