BURYS libraries are taking part in the country's biggest adult literacy drive by the BBC's Reading More and Writing Better (RaW) campaign.
They are holding a range of events, including quizzes, prize draws, recommended reading lists and storytime sessions to help parents choose quality reading for their children. More information is available at local branches, and on the BBC's website.
Councillor Steve Perkins, executive member for learning skills and employment, said: "RaW is not about signing up for courses or going back to school: it uses a range of resources to capture the imaginations of the learner by plugging in to their everyday lives."
