A CLUB for Morris Minor enthusiasts is in the driver's seat when it comes to raising money for an animal welfare charity.
Members of the East Lancs branch of the Morris Minor 1000 Club have presented Edenfield's Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary with a cheque for £100 to help support the organisation's sterling work.
Handing over the cheque on behalf of the club was its chairman Mr Cliff Whitcher, who lives in Ramsbottom. The club raised the money through a combination of joining fees and raffles.
The 60-strong car club meets every second Tuesday of the month at the Whitakers Arms pub in Burnley Road, Accrington. In the past, members have raised money for other good causes.
