SHOPWORKER Emma Simmonds stole money from her employers by stashing it in her knickers, Bury magistrates heard.
Simmonds (33), of Canterbury Drive, Bury, accumulated £950 belong to Boots the Chemist.
A woman of previous good character, Simmonds was said to have been under intense financial pressure when she carried out the thefts.
She admitted two offences of stealing cash, and a number of other offences were taken into consideration.
Mr Roger Taylor, defending, said the mother-of-one had acted out of desperation because of financial pressures. It had been an example of unsophisticated, opportunistic thieving and had been foolish because everyone in the store knew that there were cameras everywhere. Simmonds was distressed at having to appear in court. She was due to return today for sentencing.
