A BURY firm of structural engineers and surveyors has pledged to raise £15,000 towards male cancer awareness during the next 12 months.
Brewster Associates, which a nationwide network of 15 offices, is supporting the work of Everyman, The Institute of Cancer Research's (ICR's) national campaign. Everyman was set up by the ICR to raise awareness and funding for male cancers - specifically prostate and testicular cancer.
During the course of the year, staff at Brewster Associates will be raising money through various events, including marathons.
Senior partner David Brewster said: "We were very keen to support a charity in 2005/6 and there was a strong feeling among our staff that male cancer was a very worthwhile cause. We are planning a number of events for the coming months to help us achieve our goal of £15,000 within the year."
In addition to fundraising events, Brewster Associates will donate £2 from each survey undertaken to Everyman.
