EL-HADJI Diouf has promised to turn over a new leaf and be a good boy from now on.
The Wanderers striker is determined to clean up his lifestyle after being punished by the courts four times recently.
Diouf, who is in Egypt trying to help Senegal win the African Cup of Nations, has also consistently hit the headlines for getting involved in controversy on the field. But he says enough is enough and he will focus fully on football in future.
He said: "A lot of things have happened to me but that is all part of history now."
As he prepares to lead Senegal to the victory over Ghana on Friday which will lead his country to qualification to the quarter-finals, he has warned the African media they will not be able to write about him getting into more trouble.
"The television camera people should forget about getting pictures of Diouf in trouble because that is not part of the plan here," he said.
"I have an important role to play because I'm here for business."
Diouf, and his Senegalese team-mate Abdoulaye Faye, will come face to face with their Wanderers colleague Jay Jay Okocha in the final group match and he believes his national team is good enough to win the African trophy for the first time.
"Senegal is a big nation and everyone respects us," said the 25-year-old.
"I know it will be tough but we are ready to give everything to ensure the trophy goes to Dakar, because our fans deserve it.
"We have never won the Cup of Nations and it is very important for me to be here and be among the first group of players to achieve that."
