LANDLORD Stuart Ashall smiled through the pain barrier to raise vital cash for charity.
Mr Ashall, relief manager of The Unity Brook pub on Manchester Road, Kearsley, raised around £500 for St Ann's Hospice on Peel Lane, Little Hulton.
His legs were stripped of hair by part-time barmaid Gayle Makin, who recently qualified as a beauty therapist. And her husband Jody's legs were also waxed, helping to raise sponsorship cash.
Hospice fund-raiser Margaret Beck said: "We are very grateful to everyone for their help. We really need as much as possible because it costs £16,500 a day to run the hospice."
