A LONG-term grudge over a man led to a woman assaulting her neighbour.
Rebecca Louise Jones, aged 33, Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe, slapped Julie Mahon then pulled her hair.
Bury Magistrates' Court heard that Jones had never forgiven Miss Mahon for stealing her partner.
Jacqueline Stott, prosecuting, said there was a tense atmosphere between the two women and when the Miss Mahon was setting off for work with her daughter, Jones was blocking the road.
Miss Mahon wound down the window and told her 'not to be childish,' and Jones launched the attack.
Jones admitted assault and was given a conditional discharge for twelve months and ordered her to pay £50 compensation and £45 court costs.
Shabbir Khattak, defending, said Jones had learned her lesson and was going to stay away from Miss Mahon .
