I AM 58-years-old with some of my memories blurring, but I can most assuredly tell you that there was indeed a full skeleton of a dinosaur on show in the Bolton Museum.
In fact I am also as certain that it was a Tyrannosaurus Rex. In the mid-Sixties I was a frequent visitor to the reference library after school, this being a perfect place to do my homework with no distractions, and many a time would I browse the museum exhibits during moments of mental relaxation, and study the skeleton with awe.
It was a copy I believe of a full skeleton, painted brown, with some of the 'bones' containing white sections.
Now this exhibit was massive, and I fail to see how there can be no record of it. Well, record or not, it was THERE, and I am positive you will get enough feedback from people to prove it.
