A 74-YEAR-OLD woman was knocked to the ground and robbed on her front door step.
The pensioner was waiting in the lobby of Savoy Court in Cross Street, Whitefield, when she was targeted at about 2pm on Saturday.
She saw a red car pull up outside and, believing it was her friends arriving to pick her up, walked to the front door of the complex and opened it.
But a man appeared, walked up to her, pushed her over and grabbed her bag before running back to the red car.
The driver sped off towards Cross Street and turned left onto Bury New Road, Whitefield.
The woman was not injured but was left in shock by the attack.
The thief was white, in his late teens, 6ft, slim, with cropped dark hair and a long face that was unshaven. He wore a navy blue tracksuit top and bottoms.
Call PC Martin Grady in the Robbery unit at Bury on 0161 856 8093 if you can help.
