I SUPPOSE it is too much to expect correspondent Cllr John Walsh OBE to write to compliment the contractors who have recently resurfaced Chorley New Road from Beaumont Road to the borough boundary.

They have carried out the work quickly and efficiently and with a minimum of dislocation of traffic.

As a regular user of this stretch of road, I therefore congratulate them. They deserve it.
