THERE is no doubt that the cinemas at The Valley and Middlebrook are excellent facilities for those who have a car.
I don't, and I have to take two expensive and time-consuming bus rides each way to get there.
In fact, sometimes I walk, which takes me nearly one hour.
Today, children are very unlikely to be able to go to a cinema without an adult to drive them there.
Bolton town centre desperately needs regeneration, and the construction of new appartments and crown courts is not enough. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the proposed new shopping complex near Victoria Hall could incorporate a swimming pool and multiplex cinema, with cheap or even free parking to bring in new customers?
