COULD anyone shed light on what is happening at the Jobcentre?
My son has been unemployed since November, and has not received a penny since then. Each time he has rung he has been told: 'It's being dealt with.'
He finally got an interview on January 17. He was then told he would probably get a giro on Thursday. No luck!
When he rang again, he was told the issue was being referred to a decision maker. Who?
We can no longer go face to face, but need to telephone. When you can get through, it is only to be fobbed off with excuses.
Where would my son be without us? On the streets committing crime in order to survive? My husband and I are both pensioners, but have to keep him. He can't even get a crisis loan because he is with us.
Where has the system gone wrong? Will strike action next week do any good? I doubt it.
I am sure my son is not the only one in this predicament. Something needs to be done.
Would any MP like to swap with any one of these people on benefits? I challenge them to try.
