STUDENTS from across the campuses at Wigan & Leigh College celebrated their achievements at the JJB Stadium, Wigan.
The evening was the celebration of students from across the College sponsored by many local businesses.
Students received awards for Student of the Year or Achievement Awards in their chosen area of study. Several students received Special Awards. There was a wide range of age groups receiving awards showing that age was no barrier in achieving a qualification.
The students represented the Faculties of Applied Skills & Technology, Higher Education & Commercial, Sixth Form, Wigan School for the Arts & International.
College Principal, Jim Crewdson said, "This evening is about the best of the best at Wigan & Leigh College. It is a great achievement for the individual to achieve at whatever level of study. I am extremely pleased with all the effort and hard work that these students have put in to gain their awards."
Some of the local winners were: Debbie Blackledge - Student of the Year - Management Studies; Antony Crank - Student of the Year - E2E and Laura Glover - Student of the Year - Computing.
