TWO men were jailed at Bolton Crown Court for a total of six-and-a-half years for drug and firearm offences.
Phillip Fisher, aged 23, of Wet Earth Green, Swinton, was convicted of possessing a class B drug with intent to supply, and possession of a loaded air weapon, an offensive weapon and counterfeit currency, and driving while disqualified and without insurance. He was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison.
David Palmer-Smith, aged 27, of Warren Road, Torquay, pleaded guilty to possessing a class B drug with intent to supply, and possession of a bladed article, a firearm and counterfeit currency. He was sentenced to three years in prison.
Fisher was arrested last April after his car was stopped by police in Prestwich. Officers discovered he was disqualified from driving and arrested him.
His car was also searched and they found a 10-inch knife, counterfeit notes, two kilos of amphetamines and a pistol.
In June, Palmer-Smith went to Bury police station and admitted that several illegal items in the car belonged to him.
Fisher had pleaded not guilty to all offences and was convicted after a trial.
