LEAGUE leaders Bolton made it four wins out of four with an impressive 4-1 win over Oxton 2nd XI.

After a solid start to the season scoring 11 goals without reply. Bolton probably needed the reality check they received when Oxton scored after 10 minutes.

Sloppy work clearing the ball out of the Bolton defence led to a well taken Oxton goal, leaving keeper Neville no chance.

Conceding the goal breathed life into the Bolton team who pressed hard for an immediate equaliser and did not have to wait long to get it.

After a handful of attacks had failed to penetrate the 10-man Oxton defence, a goal finally came with Chadwick the man on hand to bury a loose ball in the D.

Bolton continued to press and Woods grabbed the second after a well-worked short corner routine saw the ball sneak underneath the keeper.

Chadwick, White and Short were all creating well from the midfield and it was this good approach play that led to two further Bolton goals.

Short and then Aitken adding to their tallies for the season. Short cut in from the right wing and squeezed a shot past the keeper into the bottom corner, before Aitken latched onto a misdirected shot from Chadwick to deflect the ball in.
