COUNCIL workers will leave their office roles behind when they tread the boards on Wednesday in a charity show at the Albert Halls.
The Workmates Variety Performance has been organised by Joe Connor, from the Children's Services department, to raise funds for the Mayor of Boltons earthquake appeal, which currently stands at £25,000. The line-up includes research officers, education officers, an occupational therapist, receptionists and library staff, who will be salsa dancing, singing, playing the organ and staging a Kylie Minogue tribute.
The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Frank White, said: "The concert will put staff in a whole new light - it promises to be a winner."
Tickets are £5, available from the box office (01204 334400). The concert starts at 7.15pm.
