CAROUSEL turntables supplied by Bolton-based British Turntable helped to put a spin on a Doctor Who exhibition.

The turntables were used to revolve models of the Tardis and the top of Big Ben, which featured in the 2005 series of the television show.

The exhibition opened in the summer on Brighton Pier. Parts of the exhibition are now being shown at other venues, including Cardiff's Red Dragon Centre and the National Space Centre in Leicester.

John Entwistle, managing director of British Turntable, based in Emblem Street in Bolton, said: "The 'Midi revolve' used in the Dr Who exhibition is from our popular carousel range of turntables, which are used the world over to add interest to displays of white goods, fashion and accessories, motorbikes and furniture.

"They're popular because they can really bring a display to life."
