I too am appalled at the Lottery awarding a private company funds to enable its employees to enjoy sport during working hours, fruit in reception and other health benefits.
Fantastic of the company to want to offer this facility to their employees but surely they should stand the cost of this.
I am also appalled that Darcy Lever Cricket Club has had numerous applications for Lottery funding turned down.
This cricket club supports the local community; they are inundated with children and adults of all ages wanting to play and enjoy both cricket and rounders. All of it voluntarily run. They are in desperate need of funding to improve facilities from which the whole of the community would benefit. Which planet are the Lottery decision makers on?
