ARTISTIC pupils from Horwich have created a mural to brighten up Bolton Town Hall.
Five Year 7 pupils at Rivington and Blackrod High School created a set of canvasses that fit together to make a mural about west Bolton.
Landmarks including the Reebok Stadium and the Town Hall itself. The art was presented to Cllr Barbara Ronson, leader of Bolton Council, at the Pathway Centre in Horwich.
Tony Purcell, school principal, said: "Our students have worked really hard on this artwork and it is great to have their work recognised."
The pupils, Hannah Storey, Matthew McGrillen, Aaron English and Matthew Jolley, all aged 12, along with Emma Birtwistle, aged 11,worked on the designs through the school's Able Child Summer School programme. They worked with artist Vincent Bernier, who has held exhibitions of his murals and conducts workshops for children. The mural will then go up in the Leaders Room.
