Wanderers have been allocated only 2,800 tickets for their UEFA Cup second leg match against French side Olympique Marseille on Thursday, February 23.
In the last round against Vitoria Guimaraes, Sam Allardyce's side had the backing of over 3,000 travelling fans, and all the signs are that a similar number of fans want to travel to the South of France for the Marseille game.
Yet it looks as if Wanderers will receive no more tickets, because of segregation problems at the French stadium.
A Wanderers spokesman said: "The away fans section can only hold a maximum of 2,800 fans and that is what we have been allocated. No other areas of the ground can be used because fans cannot be segregated.
"No duplicate tickets can or will be issued by Olympique Marseille, nor will there be any collection points made available in or around the Stade Velodrome.
"The tickets are priced at £15 with NO concessions and applications are being accepted by post only.
They will be sold in the following priority: Wednesday, January 25: Season Ticket Holders in possession of designated away match voucher from the Barclays Premiership away match against Everton (Saturday 17 December 2005).
