THE Bolton Cricket League has new sponsors for next season.
Anthony Axford Timber have succeeded Warburton's as the league's main backers, a move that strengthens the company's links with local cricket.
The firm already sponsors the Bolton Association and will continue to do so, while Bolton Cricket Club, of the Manchester Association, also benefit from their involvement, and directors Martin and Michael Axford both play at Farnworth Cricket Club.
Bolton League president, Peter Stafford, said he was delighted the league had been able to secure a partnership with a local company.
"The Anthony Axford company has a strong standing in the local community, and the Axford family are active within the Bolton League. Tony Axford, the company's managing director, is a familiar figure in local cricket, and his sons both enjoy leading roles at the Farnworth club.
"We are delighted the company has agreed to sponsor the Bolton League and we are looking forward to a long and happy association."
