A SERIES of walks are being held for people who want to want to live healthier lives.
The first of a series of regular sessions will see walkers being led by a trained volunteer on a mile-long ramble taking 20 to 30 minutes on Monday. Participants need a pair of comfy shoes and outdoor clothing and should turn up at the Pikes Lane Medical Centre in Deane Road, Bolton, at 2pm.
Regular group walks will also be held on Tuesdays at Moses Gate Country Park at 9.30am; on Wednesdays at Longsight Park, Harwood, and Moss Bank Park, Smithills, at 1.30pm; and on Sundays at Leverhulme Park, Breightmet, at 2pm.
Fliss Paris, Bolton Council's health walks co-ordinator, said: "Walking in a group is also a great way to meet new friends, get out of the house, explore the countryside and have fun."
