LAST summer's Lancashire Knockout finalists, Greenmount Cricket Club, have secured the services of up-and-coming Pakistan player Usman Tariq as their professional for the 2006 season.
Tariq, who hails from Bahawalpur, Punjab, is a 22-year-old all rounder who is a left-hand batsman and leg-break bowler.
He opens the batting with a former Greenmount paid man Saeed Anwar Junior at the Multan club and comes recommended by his teammate.
Tariq was recently selected as twelfth man for the Pakistan A team.
He replaces Indian Nishit Shetty who had spent two years at Brandlesholme Road.
