METROLINK services running between Bury and Manchester were suspended for a short time when a man fell under a tram on Tuesday night.
The emergency services were called at 8pm to the Woodlands Road station in Cheetham Hill. The line was closed in both directions while the 41-year-old man, who has not been identified, was removed from the tramlines.
He was taken to the North Manchester General Hospital with a wound to his leg. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
