RAMSBOTTOM District Scouts celebrated the dedication and commitment of their leaders with presentations for long service.
Ramsbottom District Commissioner Graham Lord attended the group's annual general meeting to present the awards and a medal of merit for three leaders.
Colin Wallis, Scout leader at Ramsbottom (St Philip's) Scouts, was honoured for 15 years' service and Chris Slater, Ramsbottom (Holcombe) leader, received a 25 years long service medal.
Also recognised was Mark Wharton, leader of the Explorer Scout section, who was presented with a Medal of Merit by John Woolley, acting county commissioner and county training manager. Mr Wharton set up Ramsbottoms first Explorer Scout Section and was rewarded for his hard work and dedication in making it a success.'
