THAT was a big win for us, I asked for a massive performance from the lads and I certainly got that.
I dont think Torquay are a bad side, they are in a bit of a false position and I can see them getting out of trouble, but our workrate was good and we were back doing what we should be doing.
We have had two below standard performances and that can't be allowed to happen again, it's about getting a foothold in the game and with the forwards we have we will always create chances.
That could be a pivotal game in our season, it moves us further away from the danger zone and with two or three games in hand.
If we continue with performances like that, with the same kind of workrate, well give ourselves a chance.
They scored early and it could have gone either way, but we had the mental toughness not to crumble like we had in the previous two games, I thought we were excellent.
We said at half time that they would have to come at us in the second period and they did, we just needed the third to kill the game off.
Jake Speight did well, he never stops working and was a real handful. He comes up against some really big lads in this division but he punches his weight, sticks in there and gives as good as he gets.
I think the new players, goalkeeper Anthony Williams and Colin Marrison will be good acquisitions for us and they both did well.
Colin is still learning his trade but he ran his heart out. Like a lot of lads from Sheffield United he has an excellent work ethic.
